Five pavilions of light-colored stone ascend on the hill range. Embedded in the hill are the public service areas of the hotel, the rooms of which serve as access point and connection between the five buildings. While lobby, lounge, ballroom, restaurant, bar and SPA are freely arranged on the ground floor according to their uses, the themed suites with superb views of the lake and mountains are situated in the three pavilions on the lake shore. Two smaller pavilions on the hill house villas and residences.
The volumetrics of the hotel are distinguished by the fact that there is no clear front or back side, as normally the case in traditional hotels. A closed frontage has also been dispensed with, in favor of an unobstructed view in all directions. In order to achieve the best distant views, all buildings are aligned diagonally to the lake shore. This results in fantastic views in the direction of the ‘Nase’, ‘Kreuztricher’ and Pilatus. The arrangement of the buildings creates spaces of utmost exclusivity and, particularly for the suites, also of maximum privacy.
The façades are created from light-colored stone. The surface texture is inspired by the local ‘Nagelfluh’ stone.
